IMMEDIATE JOB OPENING – Regional Manager

Ascon Corporation, a well-established and international manufacturer of process & refrigeration controls and industrial machine automation components, is now seeking to fill the position of Regional Sales Manager. Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in sales and/or marketing.
  • A minimum of 5 years process control sales experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with co-workers and customers are a must.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work as a team member, and preferred to have successfully worked in a small company environment.
  • Must have up-to-date computer skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work without supervision.
  • Must be able to accept job related directions and follow them.
  • Ability to "think on your feet" and approach tough situations.
  • Must have a valid passport.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • This position is based in Batavia, Illinois and no remote office locations will be considered.
  • Daily and overnight travel is to be expected with the ability to minimize travel related costs.

This position reports directly to the company president and will assist in developing sales objectives, strategies, advertising and promotions, and making recommendations regarding opportunities to maximize both sales and revenues.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, manage, and train our growing distribution sales force.
  • Manage the relationship with our existing distributors, and where necessary, make regional changes.
  • Assist in managing the company's growing OEM accounts.
  • Assist with the coordination of conferences and ensure our products and services are properly displayed and marketed to the attendees.
  • Assist in the development of annual sales budgets.
  • Develop a strong partnership with our distributors and key customers and initiate joint marketing opportunities.
  • Attend quarterly management meetings, present sales performance against budget, and make recommendations as required to ensure our future success.

This position consists of a minimum of 25% and up to 50% overnight travel both domestic and international. Compensation will be set based on relevant sales and customer service experience and is both salary, commission, and bonus based.
